MoveFit Lab · Athlete OS

Built for the adolescent athlete.

Online strength & conditioning for growing athletes: a guided intake, per-session check-ins that adjust the plan, growth tracking through peak growth, and load monitoring — with a parent or guardian in control at every step.

Guardians are the contracting party. Training plans begin only after a qualified coach approves the intake.

What growing athletes actually need

Three priorities shape everything in Athlete OS.

  1. Safe, age-appropriate strength training

Programming scaled to training age and experience — not a shrunken-down adult program. Parent-supervision expectations are built into onboarding, and nothing trains until a qualified coach approves the athlete's intake.

  2. Speed, agility & power development

Sprint and change-of-direction qualities trained alongside strength. Every session starts with a readiness check-in, so the day's doses of intensity match what the athlete brings that day.

  3. Training that respects growth

Growth-spurt windows are identified with monthly rechecks and a maturity-offset estimate (Mirwald et al. 2002). During sensitive growth periods, the program emphasizes technique and adjusts high-impact loading.

How it works

An ongoing loop — not a one-time program download.

  1. Step 1

    Intake

Guardian creates the athlete profile: baseline metrics, training history, growth measurements, and a parent-supervision confirmation. A qualified coach reviews and approves the intake before training plans begin.

  2. Step 2

    Session loop

Before each session: a quick readiness check-in (energy, sleep, soreness, stress). The plan auto-adjusts — volume, intensity, and exercise selection shift with the readiness band. After: in-session quality and RPE are logged.

  3. Step 3

    Growth tracking

Monthly remeasurements while the athlete is circa peak height velocity. Maturity-offset estimates are always shown as estimates — never as medical measurements — and time rechecks and program emphasis.

  4. Step 4

    Load monitoring

Session-RPE training loads roll up into 7-day and 28-day trends with an ACWR-style flag when the week spikes or drops off. Guardians see the same numbers the program uses.

Built to be trusted with your athlete

Research-grounded inputs, honestly labeled

Maturity-offset estimates (Mirwald et al. 2002), session-RPE training load (Foster et al. 2001), and ACWR-style load ratios come from published methods. Every one is labeled a research-grounded input — and still treated as an estimate, not a clinical measure.

Coach-authored heuristics, never dressed as science

Readiness bands (GREEN / AMBER / RED), volume adjustments, and plyometric policies are MoveFit Lab coaching judgment. They are always labeled coach-authored heuristics — never presented as medical precision.

Parent or guardian in control

Guardians are the contracting party: express consent for a minor's data, no pre-checked boxes, a supervision confirmation at intake, and full visibility into every check-in, adjustment, and load number.

No diagnosing — referral pathways instead

Pain inputs never get a diagnosis from this app. They trigger a referral pathway: talk to your coach, and consider seeing a qualified health professional. Athlete OS does not diagnose or treat injuries.
